Why have a Religious Use of Marijuana Card?

Short Answer: It protects you, your flower, your plants, your paraphernalia, and your property from seizure by the Federal government.

Long Answer: The religious use of marijuana is protected by federal law, specifically, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Under that law, NO federal agent may "burden" your religious use of marijuana without FIRST going to court and proving that their intended "burden" is the "least restrictive means" of regulating YOUR use of marijuana. All states listed above permit the medical and/or recreational use of marijuana. Therefore, in those states, a "less restrictive means" of regulating marijuana exists and no federal agent may lawfully interfere with your religious use of marijuana. All YOU have to do, to be protected under the law, is to declare that your use of marijuana is religious. Having a "Religious Use of Marijuana Card" from a legally recognized church is an easy, proactive way to do that.

Here's an example: You grow marijuana for medical patients. You believe that marijuana is a "sacred medicine" that heals people and helps them get closer to God/Goddess. Your state permits medical marijuana, but the federal government does not. You are afraid that the DEA or FBI will raid your house, seize your plants, arrest you, and confiscate your property. To protect yourself, you order a Religious Use of Marijuana Card for your state. Now, if a DEA or FBI agent serves you with a search warrant, you serve the agent with your Card. At that point, any further action by the DEA or FBI agent is illegal and must cease. To avoid a search altogether, you can preemptively send a copy of your Religious Use of Marijuana Card to the DEA office, FBI office, or US Attorney in your district. At that point, no surprise search warrant can be issued. To obtain a search warrant, the US Attorney must first go before a federal judge, with you present, and show that no "less restrictive means" are available.

Is your use of marijuana religious?
Answer: If you grow or possess marijuana for commercial purposes, the answer is "No." But, if you believe that marijuana is a sacred plant given to humankind by our Creator for spiritual revelation, the answer is "Yes." Or, if you believe that marijuana is the Cannabis of the Holy Anointing Oil in Exodus 30:22, the answer is "Yes." Or, if you believe that marijuana is the Holy Herb of JAH, the answer is "Yes." Or, if you believe that smoke from your marijuana Pipe carries your prayers to the Great Spirit, the answer is "Yes." Or, if you believe that religion was born when primitive humans first ingested the marijuana plant and "saw god," then the answer is "Yes."
