Cannabis

"And you shall take Cannabis and make a Holy Anointing Oil. And you shall anoint the altar of burnt offerings and the priests. And you shall do this unto me throughout all your generations." -- Exodus 30:23-31

The word Cannabis comes from the Hebrew, Canna Bism. It means "smelly cane." In the book of Exodus, God/Goddess commands Moses to make a Holy Anointing Oil using Cannabis. The word for "anointing" in Hebrew is Meshiah. When you smoke Cannabis, you anoint yourself and become Messiah!

The Israelites were not the first to use Cannabis for anointing. The Brahmins of India used Cannabis in their initiation rite. To become a Brahmin, Hindus walked around a fire carrying a bowl of burning Cannabis, Ganja, in Sanskrit. For the rest of their lives, they wore a Sacred Thread made of Cannabis.

In 1834, the British Empire abolished slavery. Without slaves, the British colonists of Jamaica needed workers for their sugar cane fields. They brought Hindus from India. The Hindus brought Ganja to the New World and the seeds of Rastafarianism were sown.

Ras Tafari was Prince Tafari of Ethiopia. In 1930, he was crowned "King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah." As Emperor of Ethiopia, he took the name, Haile Selassie, "Power of the Holy Trinity." In 1936, in the first act of World War II, Italy invaded Ethiopia. Ras Tafari, now Haile Selassie, led his army into battle against the Fascists riding a white horse. Thus was fulfilled the prophesy in Revelation 19:16 -- "He who rides a white horse into battle against the armies of the Beast to usher in the New World has a name written on his robe: King of Kings and Lord of Lords."

Today, we live in that New World!
